Mines The One Without A Tail

Howdy! Well here we have a picture of two bums, as the title of this blog states: Mine’s the one without a tail.

This picture was taken on a little trip up to Michigan to visit long time and dear friends of our family, the Bullingers. Ted and Karen (the adults..or parents of the Bullinger family) became friends of my parents back in the day. Now, let me tell you when exactly Back In The Day really is: when my dad and Ted were in the United States Coast Guard together. Karen and Ted helped bring my folks into a relationship with our Father God in Heaven! Thanks guys! Nearly 30 years later, Karen, Ted, Mum and Dad are all still close friends-they bring out the best in each other and although we live a couple hundred miles from each other-we are still family:)

This little blog-a-rue it so remind you that there is someone in your life who truely, dearly and incandecintly (stolen from Pride and Prejudice) loves and knows you! Sometimes, its whether you like it or not:)

On days you’re feeling blue, or green or all sorts of colors that are best not to feel…remind yourself that this person exists for you and in your life-They love you! You are loved! No butts about it!!

Cheers!

Gasa

One thing I have to remember when it seems like my on stride is a stumble, that Christ never promised an easily trodden path-He promised challenges and choices. The better the choices, the lesser the challanges:)

I’ve also learned that it is very important to look for the beautiful within things that appear ugly. I certainly hope others will try and do the same when they look at me and my faults. Life is Good. Life is really good-life is a gift and we have such a great opportunity to make it something extraordinary-take that gift and opportunity and MAKE SOMETHING OF IT!

Life is Good. God is Great. We can be too.

Like An Old Movie

This picture was taken on Navy Pier in April 2008. I was there for a Young Life Conference for a weekend and we had a day off to wander around the town. Most of the group went shopping because it was foggy and drizzly (as you can see) but a couple of friends and I walked around the city all day long and I went Shutter happy haha!

My Familia

October 8, 2008

I suppose the first step in capturing your long term attention, is to introduce you to my family! This was taken last fall, by me and the handy timer fixture on the Nikon. From Left to Right we have: Bob (Dad), Anna (Sister), Colleen (Mom), Kelsey (me) and Javas (brother bear!). We all have nicknames and if I ever mention a family member in a picture, I’ll probably refer to them by there nickname so you can have those to: Dad is Strider, Anna is Flanna, Mom is Mama Mia and Javas is Flavis or Brother Bear. :) Cute right? Haha oh and me…well some people call me Kels or Kel and my family calls me ‘Bug’. It used to be Kelly Bug when I was younger, but you know how these things re-arrange themselves:)

We’re a tight knit family, we love each other very much and drive each other crazy almost as equally ha, but thats the perfect balance right? We all have our own passions and dreams, but I won’t get into that right now. Maybe in future pictures you learn a little more about us, the Vandeways. But for now, its nice to meet you!

Cheers!
